West Elk Soccer Association is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization devoted to promoting and fostering the development of soccer for youth living in and visiting the Gunnison Valley. We are dedicated to providing our participants with a fun, high-quality soccer experience that encourages sportsmanship and a love of the game through the development of the player, coach, referee, and team. We are committed to being a leader in player development and establishing a lifelong appreciation for soccer among our participants.
WESA is the sole provider of competitive soccer programming in the Gunnison Valley. We are the developmental bridge between introductory, rudimentary, recreational soccer offered by Crested Butte and our Crested Butte high school teams. In eight years, we have grown our program participation to over 200 players and offer year-round training (ages 8-18), including programs for preschool children (ages 3-5). 30% of the Crested Butte Community School participates in our soccer programming. We have achieved success by keeping soccer fun, raising the level of coaching, and better matching player ability with proper competition level. WESA's success can be reflected by the Crested Butte Titans High School Boys who are four-time Colorado 2A State Champions and the Crested Butte Titans High School Girls who secured a second-place finish in the 2022 Colorado 2A State Finals. We are proud of how quickly we have grown and look forward to a bright future.
